I also have bioyogurts.com (more common american spelling) and bioyoghurts.co.uk - I hope Muller like affiliates :p

Keyword 'Yogurt' gets 60,000 a month, 'Yoghurt' 70,000, plus phrases like yoghurt maker etc. seem popular. I'd look to build an authority site on Yoghurt (!) and the benefits of probiotics, promoting other health products too (ie. dietary supplements, probiotic capsules etc.) - redirecting the other spelling.

However, I may try and sell it some point and wondered if there was much value in the domain names, perhaps selling all 3 together ?

I suppose it's difficult to assess - Just need some interest from an end-user I suppose.

Cheers,

Steve.

Might be worth approaching an organic or smaller independent firm, as I can see this being ideal for their needs...

eg:
Organic Valley in the US is a big organic dairy brand (the US equivalent of UK Yeo Valley).

Really appreciate that devolution. It sounds like a good plan.

With regards to the great imponderable of value, I wouldn't know where to start. My instict tells me to write speculatively and invite an offer - as otherwise I risk scaring them off, or shooting myself in the foot ! However, these boards seem to suggest offer a price from the outset and invite offers.
Would that be about right ? If so, where would you pitch the price ?

I wouldn't be in a massive hurry to sell it because I know probiotics are booming, but the cash would be nice

Thanks again for the advice,

Steve.

The exact search for "bio yoghurts" gets next to no search traffic and only returns 742 results in Google UK so I wouldn't say it was worth much (at least not at the moment).

Hi CJB,

That's fair comment. The adwords results for yoghurt simply indicated to me that they are very popular. Exact matches aside, if you produce bioyoghurt surely this domain does 'exactly what it says on the tin' and is therefore valuable to end users who produce the stuff. Many of the domains going for ridiculous prices are not essentially popular terms - 'defy' for example.

Although the exact term gets virtually no traffic, most people buy yoghurt for its health benefits and therefore the domain is highly relevant. And generic. So they don't search through google - eventually they just type it in.

I suppose they've got to find it first though, so I do appreciate what you're saying.

Cheers,

Steve.
