Has anyone heard of cacauthority.com. I received an email from them regarding one of my domains BetEU.com.

Any idea how I should handle this?
I'm getting out of domaining and thinking about selling my portfolio soon.

This email is from China Internet Services Provider, which mainly deal with the domain name registration in China. We received an application from HuaYi Co Ltd on April 23th, 2020. They want to register "beteu" as their keyword and China/Asia (CN/ASIA) domain names. But after checking it, we find this name conflicts with your company. In order to deal with this matter better, so we send you email and confirm whether this company is your distributor or business partner in China or not?.

Out of curiosity, what is the scam? Do they say 'well you have a copyrighted domain so you need to pay X amount for us not to take legal action?"

No, they expect you to turn around and say its a protected brand and you dont give permission for the brandname to be used under China TLD, then try and get you to buy it to protect your brand at a stupid/inflated cost than you could via a reputable registrar . When actually there is no one trying to buy the domain at all. Its just a creative way of getting domain registration sales.

Yes, this same scam email script has been around for years, Google any portion of text from the email and you'll see it mentioned on many sites, for example
