Find your own statistics then, but find STATISTICS. They don't have to match mine. They don't have to even come close. But they have to EXIST.

Look at Table 1 - there are 3.5 million businesses with no employees and and over a 1 million with 0 to 9. As the stats above mention these will have much lower take/interest in IT.
So of 4.8 million private sector businesses, 3.5 million are at best 1-man bands, and another 1 million or so will be pretty small.
