Doesn't Authy work on Mac? It works on Windows...

Just wanted to say 'Authy' works a treat on my Mac Edwin, effortless! Thanks again for recommending, greatly appreciated as I don't always have my mobile to hand.

Great, glad that went smoothly.

As suggested above, I'm using Authy and trying to login to Nominet, but this new 2FA thing is not letting me in, when adding a 6 digit number, each time it says it's wrong, when clearly it's not, then I get this message after trying numerous times:

Two-factor authentication: Account locked

Just thinking, I had Nominet open in Firefox, but to get Authy, I had to download Chrome browser and get that app on there, would trying to login on Firefox when the Authy app is giving me the 6 digit number on Chrome make a difference, I was assuming no?

[edit]

I think I've logged in 2 or 3 times previously using 2FA since installing it on May 8th/9th, I think all those times where on Firefox with Authy open on Chrome, in those instances, it wouldn't accept the 6 digit number the first couple if times, kept saying it was wrong, then let me in at the 3rd attempt, so it seems a bit pot luck whether it lets you in or not,

Definitely not your browser. I always use Firefox with Authy running on Chrome, no problem at all.

Perhaps you're not cutting and pasting the code fast enough sometimes? You've only got a 30s window before each one expires (note: it's not 30s from when you open Authy, it's a rolling 30s, so you might eg only have 7s left of the first code, or 29s, or 1s)

It might also be that the clock on your computer is too far out of sync with Nominet's clock (i.e. with reality - their server will be picking up a regular time signal to stay in sync). Authy is time based, so the client and server have to be in sync (there's a margin of error, but it's small). So if your computer is several minutes out, you'll almost certainly have problems.

Just a warning to anyone who has an AWS account and an amazon.co.uk retail and/or amazon.co.uk affiliate account.

The 2fa token for AWS can conflict with the token for the .co.uk sites. Once enabled for both you may have problems singing in to one or the other. This problem seems to be particularly acute if you initiated 2fa originally via amazon.com (it used to be the only way you could do it).

A workaround is always to use an incognito window for one or other, or (in extreme cases) another machine.

I appreciate this is an old thread, but has anyone transferred Google authenticator to a new phone yet? Any help gratefully received. Thanks in advance.
