Wanted: Domain Appraisal 2011_org_uk

Hi. I would appreciate your appraisals of 2011 dot org dot uk.

I joined AD to learn and I was fascinated by the discussion on .org.uk names a few weeks ago, so I decided to confront my prejudices and have a little dabble. I have a few place names, historic events, dates and others, but I'm conscious of the rule of one domain at a time for appraisal so thought I would start with this one.

Thank you Alien. It was a gamble, pure and simple, rather than a cunning plan. I may put it up for auction shortly to see the reaction, but I thought I would test the water here first.

However, I do actually have 2013 too - both were free to handreg a few weeks ago

As you suggest, there is more breathing space for that one - thank you for the suggestions.

2012 (not mine) would be interesting, since as a single List A "word" it is outside the formula in the London Olympic Games and Paralympic Games Act 2006 but any use of it for Olympic purposes would doubtless come uncomfortably close to the wire.

Definitely agreed - to use any 2012 domain in connection with the TM of the Olympics spectrum etc would be very dodgy and I believe they do pursue these.

2011.org will be worth less tomorrow, and even less the day after. Its value on December 31st will be < regfee.

and last year was worth a few fair bob
and the year before

it may be worth something though to someone for sentimental reasons
like best year of life, year got married, first child etc
