Wanted: Domain Appraisal 1st post please help...urgent L00k

I hope this is in the right section...............

There is a new upcoming band which are going to be big(see links below)
and i watched them perform about six months ago, so i snatched up the name of the band on a dot com extension and built a site on it, within the last few weeks the band has become quite big and there management team have contact me to ask me, if i would let them lease the name, i said no as im getting about 150-175 unique hits a days through type in traffic and earning a small amount off the site.

So then they asked, if i would not lease it to them, would i not use pics of the band and other various articles, so then i decided to take the site down and just park the site at sedo and place adult related material on the landing page, then i contacted them and let them know i was selling the domain name and that another partie was interested in buying the domain name.( the same record label also have the bands The cribs, bloc party, the yeah yeah yeahs and Peter, Bjorn & John to name a few)

So they have contacted me today and said

We want it but first we would like to know how much you want and so on. And why is there currently links to porn on thosedancingdays com ?

Our manager Helen will contact you tomorrow or tuesday to work something out, is that cool?

1st question is how much shall i say i want.
2nd can they apply to icann or whoever and ask them to take the name off me.

I wouldnt normally assist a first time poster asking for an appraisal but due to the above, you sound like a nice guy so I thought I would help.

i would just hold onto it,i have never heard anything of them and i am pretty clued up on bands,just await there next move you have nothing to lose,excuse firestars jim magilton got sent to the stand and he is upset:twisted:

Morally, yes in my opinion. There is nothing to gain from possibly allowing fans of the band - which may involve Children - from seeing Adult adverts. You gain nothing from this.

Sell or dont sell, it means little to me but come to conclusion without the use of trying to force their hand by displaying adult adverts.

Im no expert in the US version of the DRS but I would think that yes, they will and can probably take this from you and from doing exactly what you have done you have done yourself more harm than good.

too be honest i have no reason to keep on to it except a small income from adverts and the band want it and i could do with the money. Do you think i should just let them make a offer and play it from there....

Fair play firestars i did not look at it that way as im new to the domain game and looking at it now it is totally morally wrong. So i think you have a very valid point...

good point mod,why is the page parked on sedo advertising adult material,it is a band you must must be losing clickthrough,with my experience of sedo it must be losing revenue because sedo's hit and miss with adult based sites anyway??,sorry firestar i can see why you was short with him,thats why your a mod.

If it was me yes. Everything has it price, let them offer, counter offer until you are happy and then point it to their site whilst you wait for payment.

Price wise, its band Ive not heard of, they may not make it big time, so perhaps £200 is a nice figure to aim for.
