Thanks does a dedicated server help with this though surely you will be assigned the next ip from whatever block your host has at the time

Not necessarily according to this guy in the video, but if you have a lot of bad neighbors on a class C subnet, as in the video, ie 26000 spammy pornsites sharing your VPS common sense kinda suggests your probably going to struggle a bit...

This is just my humble opinion, I'm no black belt on the subject + I'm quite old now so should probably more concerned about the astronomical price of compost at the local garden centre and listening to the Archers on radio 4

I'm not sure how it all works so maybe I'm missing something but if when you by a server from whoever they assign you an IP from a block they control.

If spam site guy comes and buys the next server after you dedicated or not he's just going to get the next IP available in their block isn't he.

I see how it would be a problem on shared hosting were you all have the same IP but I'm just not sure how dedicated or virtual guarantees you a better IP subgroup

Google is fully aware of the IP ranges owned by the 'SEO Hosting' companies. It penalizes these IPs in search results and using 'SEO Hosting' is actually counter productive.

Way better to just use regular hosting types that are far less likely to have been part of some nasty blackhat trickery...
