    Yes, But I have a large bathroom. The chance of getting water on it is practically nill and they are humidity resistant for this purpose. So really not an issue.

    But for £450 you can get an apple certified refurb mini and have no hassle at any time (doesnt take much time to waste £150 worth of time between the scoping out the project, build and troubleshooting later) and get full apple support. Would be a no brainer to get the mini in my eyes...

    They arent actually giving away a license, they broke the licensing server so released a serial which will allow it to be installed. It will work but you wont be legal. Of course i doubt they would do a great deal if you did happen to install it without owning a license...

Whats your IO like, how much memory is used by buffers? What are the peaks and troughs like? How is MySQL set up? Does it ever require/request...

    Yeah team viewer with the web interface is good. But at the end of the day, you will be found. There are plenty of ways to find whats happening on the network. Proxys, firewalls even netflow to see where traffic is going. If you arent allowed to do something dont. Not worth risking your job!
