wotsit co uk
Caught for me today.
I really like it as a brandable domain.
I might just keep it and develop it into something tbh because I like it that much.
What do you guys think?.
Cheers.
What were you thinking of using it for out of interest mate?
I've wanted to make a site commenting my opinion on current news for a while, been going back and forth on names for ages. Still not sure just to go with my name or something a bit random/different and brandable, like wotsit.
Sounds 'Cheesy' to me
I think you're bordering on obsessive with your use of "brandable" and although you appear to write well I roll my eyes every time I see you use it!![]()
I've said before that almost anything is "brandable". I get the impression that you consider "brandable" to be a specific type of domain name but in my opinion your choice of word (i.e. "brandable") for that is incorrect. Perhaps abstract is a better choice? So much is "brandable" therefore try to be more specific because otherwise you are being too broad.
In respect of your idea for a site commenting and opinionating on current news, my view is if you had comments and opinions that were worth reading you probably would already have such a site. So do you?You don't need a good domain name to have a worthwhile site like that (many good writers have subdomains of blog services) and I would be hesistant about the anticipated quality of the eventual content written by anyone who delayed launching because he/she didn't have the domain name for it first.
In respect of using "wotsit.co.uk" for your site, why would you use that term? Are you affectionally known as "wotsit" by people? Do you eat a lot of Wotsits? Do you have a nose/some other body part shaped like a Wotsit? Is your name difficult to remember so people refer to you as "Wotsit"? If the answer is "no" to all of those then how could you and the term "wotsit" become synonymous? If they couldn't and if I haven't missed out any natural links, you may have to create something to link you and that term or I think it could be verging towards the ridiculous. If you go with it consider that by adopting this term you run the risk of becoming a laughing stock if someone/something else, beyond your control, ever creates a future association between the term "wotsit" and something perceived as profoundly negative.
Do you have a nose/some other body part shaped like a Wotsit?
I see you didn't touch on this point Murray ? LOL
