lol, I'm not that impressed with it to be honest... A lot of the data it collects and collates is very out of date, taking statistics from 2006, 2007 etc... Completely pointless.

It is clever in some respects, the way it can manipulate the data and cross reference, but for the majority of searches I have performed it simply states: "Wolfram Alpha isn't sure what to do with your input"...

If you are a biochemist, scientist, or mathematician or studying a field like that it may be quite useful because this is data that never changes, it's constant. For up to date statistical data though, you need to look elsewhere and do your own calculations!

LOL- thanks for the link.

I wasn't impressed initialy, and haven't tested it yet, but you're right that it depends on the quality of the information.

In some of the searches he did in the screen cast I started to think there are some questions I might use it for instead of google. Granted - less than 1% of my searches - but it would show me the exact info I'd be looking for - again depending on the quality of information.

One maybe to watch out for especially as he says he wants to open it up to the community (I guess in a Firefox/wikipedia type way - and those are 2 pretty good products)

We'll see.
