Hi Guys,

Just built a new computer and installed a copy of windows 7 home premium (without key) it has allowed me 30 days to buy a new key but looking at microsofts website its £150.00.

But if you search in google for "windows 7 home premium" you get the following companies in sponsered links selling just product keys for £20 are these fake or scams? has anyone purchased this way before, even at pc world its around £100.

example of sellers...

Thanks
DB

But they are in sponsered links in google right at the top when you search

Sounds fishy to me, the prices are less than I've just paid for a heavily discounted charity user license.

Might work today, but likely to find yourself with no updates / support in the future.

Drop me an email if you want a license quote.

There possibly some sort of academic Chinese licenses doubt there legal for use here though.
If you qualify or know someone who does pretty much the cheapest way to by legit Microsoft products for personal use is here

Do a Google search for some typo text on the site, I used "After you purchased, we will send the product key". There are many clone sites, often using Windows in the domain name.

Scam. Not saying you won't receive a key, but it won't be legal.

I've ordered office from the student link I gave above they are fully legit reseller if your worried about that.
There linked to from my uni website and recommended in uni documentation when you enroll if I remember rightly

I'd definitely agree with the above, if you have a student (including school children) in the family at your address, then I've found it can be very cost effective for some of the Adobe packages too. It may look like a 'too good to be true' site, but it isn't, they're pretty much the best choice for legit software of that type.

Since a nicked PC about 4 years ago seroiusly stopped that type of contract work for me in its tracks (the Pro/E seat wasn't originally mine, so wasn't covered), I've been praying that one day they'll feature a cheap option for Creo (Pro/ENGINEER) or Solidworks, fat chance there though! :(

1 thing worth remembering is that the student versions are not licensed for any commercial work. If you are using the PC just for home use, this is of course fine, however, as soon as you start trading your license is technically invalid and you need to buy a non-academic license.

Given that Windows 7 & Office 2010 Home & Business is less that the cost of a half decent domain and you can offset your purchase as a business expense, is it worth not having the right license?

I'd be wary of logging on to any of these sites let alone giving them payment would
Personally Prefer paying five times the cost to tp world.
Suppose you could try trading them a better domain for a key tho!

I was just trying to be eco friendly as i didnt need the install disc just key only.. I normally always buy from pc world but i thought i would try and save a few quid.. :D
