Full function quote engine for window companies for sale - windowquote.co.uk
The system allows one window company in each geographical area (you define the areas) to provide instant quotations for windows without requiring the user to register any personal information.
When the user opts to save their quote, they are asked for contact information, at which time, the quote system tells them which company provided the quote.
It also asks them to choose from a number of other local suppliers who they would like to receive a quote from - and passes details of their window sizes choices to those competitors - but it limits it to three more companies.
Most online quote engines require pre-registration. I developed this site in this way because I don't like filling out loads of personal information before getting a price.
This way, people can get a good idea of price (or an exact price) before giving away their contact details - and let's face it - who wants to give contact info to a window company?
The system runs on php and mysql.
Quotations are stored on the system and quote requests are also sent to the site admin.
This is a fully working model that has not been released or promoted yet.
I have other priorities at the moment, but this site could generate a significant, passive advertising revenue for a motivated individual.
My original idea was to charge a premium rate for any company wanting to provide the online instant quote (prices are uploaded via a spreadsheet) and then a smaller feee being charged for companies who provide secondary quotes - these are not online.
The system allows advertisers to have their own information pages as advertorials on the site.
