It has to be asked - why does sedo have its own forum section here when there are much better companies out there doing a much better job? (e.g. NameDrive for instance)

Is acorndomains in any way associated with them?

In my view sedo give out less payments, are less professional and 100% frustrating when service is considered.

Just a thought.

There are alot of Sedo users on here so it warranted a separate section to dicuss its use.

We offered Name Drive their own section (for free) but they declined.
Our banners promote both companies.

ok, fair is fair - I guess its namedrives loss to have declined.
AcornDomains remains faultless
;)

I think that it is a great idea that Sedo - and hopefully in the future other domain platforms - have a dedicated space on the forum, from which interesting discussion can develop. I have definately found the comments made in this section of great use so that we can see day by day exactly what our customers feel about Sedo.

I am very concerned that Sedo's professionalism and service is brought into question. I can fully appreciate that customers may occassionally experience difficulties - a lengthy domain transfer can, for example, understandably be frustrating - however we do aim to reply to our customers requests within 24 hours.

AQLS - if you would like to contact me personally, I would gladly deal with complaints that you may have - my details are listed below!

All the best....

You see a lot of criticism of Sedo on the various boards but I have to say after nearly 2 years I can't really fault them (apart from the ludicrous minimum charge on selling nominet names). I get pretty fast responses to queries (apart from weekends), any major problems (like DNS attacks) have been generously compensated for, and in recent months since moving on to SedoPro revenue has been up 30%.

Having said that, I have also been very impressed with Namedrive's approach, although I personally haven't been seeing the extra revenue mentioned elsewhere on the boards.

Stephen.
