That's right, no-one with a decent portfolio would keep their domains on Sedo. Almost ALL other options are better.
Sedo is reasonable for selling domains (don't talk to me about buying domains there... I'll go off on one), but there is no point in keeping even those domains you are selling parked at Sedo. OK if you have a high traffic domain, having it parked at Sedo allows potential buyers to view the stats, but you are losing money all the while. In that case better to add a line in the description about your monthly traffic, you could suggest they contact you for verification if Sedo allows the comments.
I got one domain on NameDrive, don't get no clicks though. On Sedo however,
Clicks: 276 / Revenue: € 39.21
I sold the domain that made me the above for 50 quid because the stats were falling and just scraped to 3,000 uniques for this month but if I kept it on Sedo it would of just died and this particular site took a lot of work to keep up to date everyday.
Next time you want to sell a domain that just scapes 3000uv for £50 - do let me know![]()
I also have a site on sedo earning around 38 euros from 1100 clicks
but it is my only site getting the 10,000 target a month earned me 75 euros last month. bit scare of changing it, as it is getting me a modest earning, but my fear is i have notice the traffic been droping.
So do you guys think it's worht to develop it in to a full website, this would cost me coz i have no idea of web development. or should i turn it in to a mini site. because i have a feeling parking will kill it in the end....
