I use GoDaddy.com and no complaints so far. They are usually a lot cheaper than UK registrars for .com, although I guess you have to keep an eye on the USD exchange rate.
Don't use a UK registrar for .com's - The price to register a name will often be a lot higher. I use GoDaddy, Moniker, Dynadot, eNom, Snap and EuroDNS...
I would suggest using GoDaddy, have never had any problmes and their domain interface is very userfriendly and streamlined once you get to know it.
Do all my .com with omnis.com.
Really quick, amazingly fast dns update pushes, cheap to register, they take paypal if you want to use that, the control panel is far and away the best I have used, especially for mass editing. And once you buy over a certain number they give you discount on all the domains.
I have a few hundred in my account with them now and have been really happy.
JUST BE SURE to uncheck the hosting required box when ordering domain names
I recommend anyone who has not tried omnis register a .com with them and see what it is all about... for the sake of $6-$7 it is worth it
omnis is pretty big. Not godaddy scale but they are unique. I get much better support, systems and service from omnis than I have ever done with godaddy. Still use godaddy for my SSL certs though. And .tv domains.
A tip with GoDaddy; search for a GoDaddy discount code first and you can often get an additional 10% off or similar as they are big on their discount codes.
Incase you guys have not heard godaddy is known for being ruthless at taking over domains, just do a google search and you will how many complaints they have had, the best one i have found is name.com, they give you great support with a local uk phone number and they are cheaper then most at just $5.99 for .coms and .nets you cant go wrong.
