I normally try to end mine between 2 and 3 pm and on a weekday

I’d say identify target audience most names have one ensure auction end is suitable them? Avoid end/ start of day holidays etc and times there busy research when they start advertising/promotions etc most important make sure they know its for sale….
I once purchased a property for half the price I thought I’d have to pay simply because the auctioneer for reason only known to them decided to hold the auction on a Saturday on 24th December at 4pm and only posting catalogues out three weeks before? Result auction that would normally have 150 odd people there had less than a handful so timing is a big factor
