Wanted: Service What technology is this?

Hi,

I'm trying to find out the name of web technology that is used on websites where a user starts to type a 'category' and as they type a list of words appear in order of relevance.

i.e they want to add their business to 'Teeth Whitening' and start typing 'teeth' and a range of suitable categories shows up for them to select from.

I'm sure this has got an 'industry specific name' but I can't even begin to guess what it's called... well, all my guesses have drawn a blank so far!

I would recommend the jquery UI autocomplete:

This is quite a well written autosuggest script, good code, also gives the option of using images within the suggested results. Its useful if you have a product-based online shop, for example.
