What is enom?

I'm using some programs to monitor domains, and enom is mentioned if you want to register watched domains. What is enom?

They never seem to reply to their emails. I've seen two different domains parked twice, enquired about them, yet no reply.

Enom allow API access to them, so you can register domains from a program on your desktop (Or have the program send requests to register domains every x seconds)

I wouldn't expect anything at all from Enom API though with regards to domain "catching".

I use Enom as a registrar.

They are great as far as I am concerned, and have good customer service.

They also operate their own .com drop catching service and are quite successful in picking up a good proportion (some) of the drops, and compete on a level field with dropcatcher et al.

I imagine for sure that they keep the best ones, but I've had a couple of good .coms on the secondary market from them.
