I'm tired right now but thought of an idea for a website just there and wanted to see if anyone else thought it'd be useful.

To keep it short, similar to http://usertesting.com but rather than normal people reviewing your website it'll be reviewed by people that have qualifications in Web development / UI experience.

Surely this would lead to better feedback on what can be improved? Not only that, but companies could use it to get different opinions from professionals that are seeing the website with a fresh set of eyes on it rather than let's say a developer that has been working on the UI for years?

Worthwhile or not?

It'll ultimately be normal users using the website, and not web developers, so the user feedback should be more accurate. As a web developer myself I know what I think it's often obvious or simple, is sometimes a lot more difficult for the other 99% of users.

What you really need is a network of old peoples homes testing the sites. If they can use it, you've got gold :)

I do not think this business model is economically viable. You won't be able to charge enough for the service to afford the expert reviewers.

Thanks everyone. After sleeping on it I've gone off the idea a bit.

That'd actually be a really funny site in fairness. Who here wants to be the first oldie :p

Just out of interest, has anyone used usertesting.com? I tried their free tool - Peak - and the feedback was terrible. However, it was free, so can't complain.
