Wanted: Service Web Hosting

Hi all

Can some people recommend some UK webhosts i currenly only host in the US and want to get a UK server who are some of the best to host with?

evohosting.co.uk are supposed to be pretty good, I know a few here use them.

I'm not sure if it makes a difference re Geo location & SERPs in any case, but according to this tool IP to Country tool evohosting.co.uk and the sites they host (like eazypeazylearning.co.uk & others) are all actually hosting in Ruinen in the Netherlands, not here in the UK - although their blurb says their servers are located in BlueSquare in Maidenhead - maybe I'll call them tomorrow and report back.

I checked as I've been looking for a physically UK based backup to my US Hostgator service and thought this might be the answer.

EVO has just had new IP ranges given so maybe the IP tool is showing the old owners ?

They are definitely in BS, I have spoken to Bluesquare about them when their BS has power issues that killed EVO.

Looks like a good service at the right price for shared hosting though (apart from the "killed EVO" bit... lol... how long were they dead for?)

Try XILO I have 2 x reseller accounts with unlimited domains (for different needs), my particular servers are located in southampton UK, I think they have other data centers in the UK? Check them out.

Used evo for about 6 months after seeing the link on here. Had no downtime problems at all, good support on the few occasions I've needed it and will be renewing when the time comes.

They tend to have regular discounts as well
