Wanted: Mini/Small Site Creation Service

Anyone here providing site building services or know of someone that does? We have a ton of domains we want something putting on for various reasons. Size would vary but most in the 5 to 30 page range.

We're not looking for churn and burn though, these need to be quality as they may end up getting built out into larger sites. So decent logo, quality well researched content (not wiki rewrites) and set up properly.

We'd set up the hosting/domain/wordpress we just need someone to take it from there and then hand back when finished. There is potential here for long term work if we can find the right person.

Compartmentalise it, find 2-3 different people, 1 for content, 1 for graphics and someone to put it all together. Rarely you do find golden rocking horse poo which is someone who does a good job all around, you usually end up with 10/10 5/10 and 1/10 in the different areas.

You are absolutely right, now-a-days everyone are playing a role of middle man, buying services from third parties and charging reasonable amount for services. (many SEO companies hire us and we prepare reports for them), Irony is many of them even don't how to edit name in header or footer of word file. BUT thing is they are in touch of clients and spending money to acquire those clients.

I think so one must compare prices and its prices are reasonable (as a cost is involved at every point) one can go and test things once in small lots.

Appreciate that, thanks. That is pretty much what we've been doing up to now, it's just a time thing. I totally agree though, so I'm on the look our for some rare gems. Although you probably have a point, people who are good at it probably end up doing their own stuff...

It's relative, if you hire someone that outsources parts of the work to produce a better product/service its likely the "middle man" so to speak has better contacts for clientele, has overheads, is insured etc which most foreign or individual freelancers may not have gone to the trouble of solving. Outsourcing partners price up the way to they do because they don't want the responsibly, don't want to deal with client side problems and in many cases don't want to deal with clients at all.

Carrying the responsibility of outsourced work, getting freelancers to deliver on time and chasing constantly is often harder work than just spending more time doing it yourself which is why most clients don't care how the work is done, or who done it providing they get what they want and its managed effectively and at the cost they are comfortable with. Most people just want someone that responds to an email with in a couple of hours...not days and/or picks up the phone as soon as it rings and they don't mind paying more if it means less chasing for them.

"Middle men" or "Jack of all trades" and the stigma that goes with it is often wrong, the people that say such thing just havent found the right person. In my experience working with someone that has a core trade but knows a little bit about other things, is a million times easier to work with than someone that knows their trade but struggles to work as apart of a group because they know what they know and nothing else.
