VPS Required

I doubt I'll get a response as i'm posting in the top secret section, but can anyone recommend a vps for catching? i'm looking to move my script.
I'm being lazy and hoping a good samaritan will save me getting numerous trace routes etc.... ideally want peered with nom.

I think most companies would be happy to give you traceroute stats. Just write an email and bcc a bunch of them.

I think he's suggesting that if you know a site name you can use a few simple queries to determine which DC the host is using and often also determine the hosting company.

This of course assumes that the host is using the same DC for the web site and the catch engine (we don't)

Sites in my sig won't help you much, as Monaghan says most catchers will not have any sites on their "catching server" and the same is true for me. I have several hosting accounts with different companies as I'm sure many do.
