Has anyone seen the new system as of today ?

Its nuts...

Its like that old prank website that you sent people too to get like 300 javascript popups, it must ask you like 4-5 times if your sure you want to buy the item.

Its like:

No seriously do you want to pay ?

Ok click here then.

click send ?

Yes right there.

Send Payment.

Jesus, is this taking it too far ?

To send this payment I needed to enter my card details, Long Code, Start Date, Exp Date, 3 Digit Code, then enter 3 randon chars of my passcode, then click like 5 buttons.

It's not going to be good at all for online shopping conversions.

Rgds

I just had to make another payment and this time the bloody the button you have to click FIVE (I counted this time) times, MOVES, its not in the same place, so you have to move your mouse each time to click it heh.

Weston Union to Uganda anyone ? Least thats easier :p

I actualy prefer to shop at stores now that provide paypal.

Can send the payment just signing in and can start a dispute if there are any problems.

I just got this from Worldpay who provide my payment facilities...

Checkout Support for Maestro (UK) Cards

Please note that this connection method cannot support the new mandatory requirement from MasterCard that the acceptance of Maestro (UK) card payments are subject to its cardholder authentication scheme, MasterCard Secure Code (which prompts Maestro (UK) cardholders for a PIN number when they make a payment.

If you want to carry on accepting Maestro (UK) cards beyond April 1st 2009, you must choose and implement another of our integration methods and new cart functionality for your website. (This is a technical task you should refer to your IT resource). We will remove support for Maestro (UK) cards from those merchants using Checkout on 1st April 2009.

No other payment methods are affected by this change: you can continue to use Checkout for all the other payment types you currently accept.
Secure Code Mandate for Maestro

Your acquirer is responsible for ensuring that you have implemented SecureCode and may insist that full support is in place in order for you to continue to accept Maestro. In some circumstances, financial penalties may apply for non-compliance. In addition, some Issuers may choose to decline non-SecureCode Maestro payments.

If your Merchant Account is with WorldPay or Streamline, we will continue to support acceptance of Maestro (UK) cards without cardholder authentication until April 1st 2009 but not beyond. You may then be liable if financial penalties are applied.
What Do You Have To Do?

If you are using your Checkout installation for live payment processing (some merchants may have an old Checkout installation which is not actually in use) you will need to change to another of our integration methods (HTML Redirect or a shopping cart with built-in integration to the WorldPay service). We will remove support for Maestro (UK) cards from those merchants using Checkout on 1st April 2009.

Nice one, not only have they bankrupted the high street, the banks have started to screw up the virtual world. Paypal and Google pay are looking more and more attractive every day.
