Didnt win this domain - sold on another forum?

Thought when I posted sold it was an unwritten rule that I had the domain.

Is there any point in doing this, if you lose out? and it gets sold on another forum.

personally I think its out of order and makes the site a bit of joke - any thoughts?

It's very common peoplelist domains for sale other venues and forums
Ideally mentioned in thread but not essential in my view
First come first served, someone beat you to punch, was priced to sell imo

However I think is prudent seller edits all sales threads everywhere to save their time and others when sells elsewhere.
Also if you didn't pm as well you can't expect sellers to monitor sales threads or be in front of pc 24/7

when you buy, PM too!

I realise people wont spend all day watching a thread, however since it was the only reply linked to this thread and this website actually notifies you by email that you have a reply, then after 2 days you would think you'd get some kind of response?

I did PM aswell, so after a few days it would be nice not to have to chase this myself.

I've come from a background where if you are selling a unique product online you don't list it elsewhere unless you have the mental agility to stay on the ball. This clearly hasnt happened. And since this is allowed makes the site lose credability in my opinion, and if nothing else curtails trust in buying.

well i'll leave it up to the seller to explain
but I go by those rules and have been here 6 years and have a 100% TR

you've only been here a month so don't be so quick to pass judgement on the site

you deserved a pm reply well before 2 days imo, but not everyone has email notifcation for pm's. it can be switched on or off
not everyone even elects to accept pm's

as far as email notification to replies in thread. Jesus I would never have that in my settings, don't think many would

from what you have said sounds like bit sloppy on sellers part
there's plenty more fish in the sea! ;)

I have apoligised, you contacted me by PM today not two days ago as suggested in your post,i would personally send a PM about the sale due to factbe the thread does become engulfed with new posts which drives my thread lower down the pecking order and becomes lost, i didnt notice your "sold" message and was sold on another forum...

and i didnt know you could have emails regarding posts ? is this new

sorry again

Kind Regards

Mark

I appreciate your time in replying, although I think the amount of time I have spent on the site is irrelevant? I am respectful and helpful and have done alot of good fair deals in my short time here. I am simply judging it by what I think is fair, note* i said "in my opinion".

I think the site is generally good and don't think badly of it. However it is obviously going to lose trust in myself as a buyer by what has happened.

There are a few points that dont add up, but maybe I was expecting a little too much.

Anyway nothing will bring her back, so I'll look for another domain. And join a few other forums as that is clearly the solution.

Thanks

you can subscribe to thread

might be prudent for sellers to do this, myself included
although I never screw up  lol

cheers Pred..:D

all this hassle for something like £4....times are hard

it cost me £46 to have it caught via Domainmonster.com

lol

I hate to break it to you, if they paid by paypal, then paypal took a £2 chunk of your ass @ 4%
there's 'almost' enough left for a pint to drown your sorrows :D

Maybe an over reaction on my part as you seem to have made an honest attempt to do the right thing. So no hard feelings.
