Anyone else watching? Cr*p on a cracker.

Got it in one of my tabs and keep flicking back for an update!

This domain would look very nice on the side of a van hire companies fleet of vans.

Could even go as far as a using it as the companies name!

Must be a couple of end-users in the mix. I guess we'll find out soon enough.

Highest ever sale on DL perhaps?

It is now I think.

Last one I can remember was: ocean.co.uk which Sold for £10,250

Sold to the finance people.

Wow. This is already the highest ever DL sale at over £11,000. I think it was ocean.co.uk at £10,000 before.

New bidders entered at £10,725 and a returning bidder at £11,330. This one has serious legs. Almost tempted to bid myself :D

Fascinating.....currently @ £13,100.

Does it keep extending until eventually bidders drop out?

Looking at this and the list of completed sales on the front page of DomainLore, looks like more "ranking" sales so far this month than in a very long time. Either more good domains are getting listed, or DL prices are rising, or both.

As a point of comparison...

A quarter-page ad in the Daily Telegraph costs £22,000
A quarter-page ad in the Sunday Telegraph costs £15,500
Mono advertorial page in the Daily Mail costs £45,612+ (depends on the day of the week)
A quarter-page ad in the Sun newspaper costs £141,067.50
A single 30 second ad on ITV, broadcast once, costs from £6,200 to £60,390 (depending on the time of day; all regions price)

And those are one time, fire-and-forget costs... At the tip-top end of the market, great domains are CHEAP!

I would say they are on the up; though the lull at Christmas may be the reason for more domains in January, plus EMD's seem to be in fashion again. LLL's certainly have seen an increase in value from mid XXX to low XXXX on quality characters. Quite positive, though .uk largely ignored...still!

Indeed, but you still need to advertise them.

Good sale!!
Didn't realise that after bidding DL revealed a bidders default ID.
What's all that about?

Only the bidder can reveal this. As well as if you are the seller, in which case you can hover over to see the name.

I wasn't aware it could be changed after an auction had finished.
So, if someone changes their ID in the "Buyer Panel" does that automatically reflect on ALL past auctions someone has bidded on?
Or is it possible to do it at the 'auction level'?
