i was bidding on valium.co.uk which eventually went for £185.00

is this a good price for a it? Is it a good domain?

Watching that. Not sure, how can you make money from it mate? Think the price is fine, just how you go on from now...

mmm. i got outbid at the last second, which was probably a good thing.

would it be trademarked though? I thought maybe it could be used as a forum for people who used to use it to help others who are on it....

or am i thinking in cloud cookoo land again!

All depends on your attitude to risk. There are people people using trademarked drug domains actually selling said drug with no connection to the company / mark and get away it.. and others who try it and end up with a DRS at best, and at worst a passing off case in the courts.

Yebbut risk taking in a business sense generally does not mean misrepresenting yourself as a rights-holder in the hope of confusing their potential customers.

Valium is an international trademark that belongs to Roche.

I was also watching this one, wasnt willing to pay that much.

Phil,

I wasn't encouraging or condoning, just stating what goes on.

If someone were to register valium.co.uk and start monetising it, their "attitude to risk" wouldn't be any different to Roche's own business ethics / practices or any other large multinational corporation for that matter. ie. Is the cost of penalty a lot smaller than the likely profit to be made of said questionable action, if so proceed..
