I have a .co.uk that is getting the following traffic:

United States 68.8 %
Sweden 15.6 %
United Kingdom 10.0 %
Canada 2.0 %
Germany 0.7 %
Unknown 0.7 %

(Thanks to Sedo Pro for great information)

which might explain:
301 Uniques today but only 8 clicks

Is there a way to get US ads to show and not UK?

It is an online shopping related domain so I tried using "store" instead of "shop" but all the results are still .co.uk biased which I guess is why my US visitors are not clicking through.

Surely Sedo has geo targetting and shows the correct ads regardless.

You wont see other country ads unless you use a proxy.

sedo has a problem with .uk.coms too.

I think some of their UK targeting comes about if you have a .co.uk so it doesn't quite work with .uk.com

They can manually tweak it if they give you the time.

Hi Admin,

Thanks for bringing this one up. Can you give me the domain name (or PM me)? I will take a look at the ads being yielding for US visitors and compare them to those for the UK. Thanks!

Jakob

Hi,

Just FYI, the ads shown for your parking pages will be targeted for each geo-region. I checked admin's landing pages for the US, and ads yielded were for .com establishments around the US. Conversely, .co.uk ads for UK advertisers came up for the UK landing page. I'll leave it to admin if they want to share more about their experience.

A lot of the time, it's good to optimize a few times to see what works best. We are also happy to help with this as we like to think we have a little experience in the field :). Sometimes the strangest keywords or combinations will get more clicks. Trying out different combinations and tracking results will give you an idea of what works for any program (although getting accustomed to our system will make you proficient mostly at optimizing with Sedo). Obviously keep it relevant, look for what works for your portfolio, and have fun.

Get in touch with us if you'd like some help with this. We're happy to share all of the knowledge we have and do our best to optimze your portfolios.

Take care all,

Jakob
