Afternoon all,
We listed this site previously (UKCamping.co.uk) which is a site with some history which i'll explain in a second. Previously I didn't have any site data to give but I do now. Many people were interested in the domain but no sale went through.
So, about the domain: We used to run a camping shop on the domain which did ok, until our supplier went bust. In the end, Gellert bought up Hi Gear but by then we were in the process of moving our warehouse and offices and we didn't end up reviving the site and stock. This was some years ago, and we've had the site running since so as not to lose any listings in google. We still receive phonecalls from people interesting in buying this or that, so I suspect someone could easily pick the site back up either as a retailer or an affiliate.
So here's some of the history in terms of turnover:
2003 - £56,489
2004 - £54,149
2005 - £28,991
2006 - £40,554
2007 - £31,036
2008 (Jan to May) - £6,408
Total: £217,630
8500 Customers
It was in 2008 that the supplier went bust as you can guess. We kept the site running to shift any stock we had left.
If you're interested in the domain alone, that's fine, but if you're interested in continuing as a shop, we would gladly do a deal to revamp the site for you on our ecommerce platform.
Please PM your interest or post in the thread.
Thanks a lot
Mat
