I'm curious - is the rest of the world completely lost as to why so many people in my country are worshiping this ludicrous woman who took 6 years to finish college and whose biggest qualification is that she shoots moose and lies very well?

Or is there sheer terror about the idea that she could be #2 behind a 72 year old who has had cancer 4 times?

I am truly curious...I know my country has gone mad, but at least is the UK sane? Or is that a whole different can of worms :)

It does make me laugh how over the top everything is, the amount of celebrity backing and media. I did enjoy the stevie wonder performance though at Obamas party :)

Palin and McCain seem to be trying to go for the "real american approach"
The soccer mum/milf with the normal family and ex war hero grandad type figure.

I really dont think it makes a huge difference who wins in these things, theres never going to be any major radical changes made whoever is in power.

I lived in America for a bit as a child and have been back about 9 times, think I prefer it to the UK if im honest.

Im all up for Obama winning but something tells me that behind the scenes "they" wouldnt allow a black president even if the people do vote for him.

I'm not sure it matters what anyone in the UK or USA thinks of those two as they aren't getting to power. They would have to rely on votes for a change, as they wont be able to cheat their way into power like the current administration.

The world will be an even darker place if McCain wins.
He is on record as saying the only thing he sees when he looks into Putins eyes is KGB wtf??? Sounds like a great diplomat.

The world is a vey scary place at present due to the current administration's foreign policy. You have made more enemies than friends since Bush went into power.

Hopefully the American people will see it's time for change. Less gun totting and more discussion.

.

That is funny but more likely that hes looking down at her notes etc!

And fumbling with his wedding ring because he is infatuated with her notes :)?

Not always actually, but Bush has turned me and the choice of Palin made it worse.

i honestly do fear for obama?,he must know in his head that he will be a sacrificial lamb, someone has attempted to kill him before he was elected?,and you mentioned that palin took six years to finish college?but the leader you have in now can't even tie his own shoe laces let alone lead a country the bumbling idiot....

What scares me about the Palin is all the crap she believes in and has touted for ages including creationist drivel and the teaching of religious intelligent design as a viable alternative to evolution in America's classrooms. Right wing evangelicalism has screwed up middle america for too long!!
