.tel domains captivated my imagination since I saw a beautiful angel on Telnic webiste. Yet dot tv domains remain me of my Zooropa ZOOtv days.

I think I´ll go for .tv. Or maybe .tel. Don´t know and my registrar´s not helpin´me at all 2 make up my mind.

What U think guys?

Apples and Oranges, .tel is not comparable in functionality to .tv or .owt .else

Are you buying to invest or for personal use/development?

Personally I'd avoid either. :)

You cant host a site on .tel only contact details, where a .tv is just like any other domain, just more expensive

Someone offered me a generic chemical name on .tv couple of months ago for £xxx, I said – not interested. He came back recently with £xx (reg fee) but I still don’t want it. Extension seems too awkward for B2B.

I´m buyin to invest, alien. Felt both domains´d go great in this multimedia-engaged world in which we live in. Don´t know really´cos .tel websites are really louzy and don´t seem to catch on.

Dot TV domains? Not quite sure they roam online or help you broadcast stuff any more than .com or .org domains.

Why you find it that awkward expertc? Will you shed some light, pls?

By the way one of my Spanish registrars´s offering $8 discount in .tv registrations. Sounds great yet still have doubts down the stretch. These domains should be sellin´by the thousands and that doesn´t seem to be the case don´t you think?

Thx guys.

Hi Bobby

I love .tel even though many others don't on this forum.

I think telnic will be pulling out a few surprises over the next few months which will really put .tel on the map.

Love or hate .tel it gets people talking, It was the most popular thread on namepros.com and may still be.

Regards

Gav

....

Bobby,

I mostly do chemical B2B, so what a domain like, lets say,

4tertButylphenoxyaceticAnhydride.TV would sound like amongst the industry people? A TV showing 4-tert-Butylphenoxyacetic Anhydride? Not a pretty sight...

B2B is a slightly different world ;)

Yep expertc I follow. Maybe .info or .net domains suit your business a little better.

Hi virtualwords,

If you love .tel domains you´re gonna love surfin´the net w/your iphone;-D Still believe .tel environments got a long way to go before they really make it ´cos skins for .tel websites are pretty louzy and all look the same, don´t you think?

Question for everyone...kinda pscyhological I know. Ready? Here it comes...

You think of a business or whatever it is you´re thinkin´of and need to build a website for such a business, idea, or thing. What domain first comes to mind? No surveys, second-thoughts or anything like that just plain thought comin´to mind. Got a theory...
