I bought a domain from another forum a while ago, but it has only just today been "pushed" to my registrar and not transferred correctly .

As it's now in my registrar account, it has of course assigned my Nominet contact details to it and not the current (previous) registrant's for them to initiate a proper transfer to me.

I have written proof of purchase for the domain, so is it fine to initate the transfer to myself from my own Nominet account to another email of mine?

The tick box on the transfer page confirming consent to transfer appears to show that I do, but just wanted to check. Will save me a lot of time and hassle rather than getting it back over to the current (previous) registrant's Nominet account :).

Should be fine, I do it all the time when buying domains from people who can't get their head around Nominets fangled systems.

Having someone change the tag rather than piss about with the online system is much easier and the way I always do it.

Cheers guys, was beginning to find it a bit of a pain explaining to non-domainers how to transfer names properly.

This seems like an easier solution to me :)
