Transferring .coms from easily.co.uk to godaddy

I'm wanting to transfer a couple of domains from easily.co.uk to godaddy for a client.

A cursory inspection of the Easily website suggests I'll need to fax them with the transfer details. I find this difficult to believe as I can't see how you would co-ordinate their effort with godaddy's automated process, or am I missing something.

I'd be grateful for any advice.

What a stupid setup ... more fool my client for not doing her homework before using them.

I'm annoyed by this too. I also think it breaks ICANN rules.

Sorry about taking so long to get back. I'm just updating this for the benefit of anyone finding this thread through a search engine.

We did need to fax them a request form. Months later I'm still thinking "That's so 1996".

To their credit, they replied overnight, my time (GMT+12) and they supplied the auth code we needed in the first reply. After that the transfer went through smoothly.

As a rule transfer procedure is not very pleasant for many webmasters! Sometimes it can take up to 8 days for a transfer to be completed! Be aware of the fact you take a risk to lose a domain while transferring it between registrars!
