I recently regged a .co.uk via Cloudflare, (a week ago) and after an offer, I've decided to sell the domain. However, cloudflare does not allow changing of the IPSTag within the first 60 days or registration, they cite Icann (incorrectly?), but anyways...

Would I be right in assuming I can get the IPSTag changed via nominet myself, for 12+VAT ? is that correct? I've never had to do this before as I've always been able to change IPSTag at other registrars without issue.

Cheers.

The 60 day transfer lock is a Cloudflare restriction. Yes, .co.uk are under Nominet's remit, not ICANN.

Yes, you should be able to use Nominet's Registrant Transfer process to transfer (change of registrant) and release (change of registrar) the domain name. The current cost is £10+VAT.

- https://theukdomain.uk/help-centre/how-do-i-transfer-my-domain-to-someone-else/

You should be able to create an account with Nominet and start the process: https://secure.nominet.org.uk/account/intro.html

Otherwise, you could open a support ticket with Cloudflare and have them start the process.

Edit: Nominet does impose a [registrant] transfer lock and they publicise that it's 60 days, but that's not the case. Based on my discussions with Nominet, it's actually only until the registrar pays their Nominet invoice for the domain. You're always free to release the domain (change of IPS tag).
