Wanted: Domain Appraisal todo.co.uk

Caught this a few weeks back, wondering what peoples thoughts are on value.

I find it quite difficult to value something like this, where the domain is not directly associated with a product, I think the to-do list software market is too saturated to add a lot of value to the domain.

I've had some interest from people in the domain game, but I'm reluctant to sell too quickly. On the other hand, I've got a wedding to pay for and I may have to sell to help with the costs.

I think I'd be hoping to get at least low to mid £xxxx, but another part of me thinks this could go significantly higher.

Wish.co.uk just went for £7.5k, I think that's a better name, but I think that was a good price for the buyer.

Team.co.uk went for £5k in September, I think todo.co.uk is more 'brandable' and has more scope, but I'm probably biased.

Was after this myself at the time, really nice domain in my opinion and I don't think your valuation is far off - you're probably only going to achieve 4 figures + by waiting for the right buyer to come along though. If you need the cash quick you may have to take the pittance you'll be offered around these parts

Well, I think team.co.uk is better than todo.co.uk, but regardless your name has the potential for a healthy sale, but as ever that will need good marketing and a healthy sale won't happen unless you make it happen.

I think team and wish are domains that would typically go for more than todo.co.uk . I do think it's a name with huge potential though as a personal organisation type site. Maybe there are companies out there in that field that would offer you more than you'd get here for it.

That's exactly what I had in mind when I first saw this domain. Immediately I thought Things.

Nice domain, but the trouble is what it could be used for? Task management software comes to mind but I have a feeling that the companies involved in that area would prefer to have a .com for global appeal rather than just focussing on the UK. Unless I'm missing something other than the lists/planning/management categories it's quite limited.

Wish.co.uk and Team.co.uk are both stronger single word domains so I wouldn't use those as a comparison. In my opinion it's those that have more scope over 'to do' as they could be branded easily. Think of almost any niche and I'm sure they could be applied without sounding out of place.

Agree with the valuations of £xxx if sold on here or £x,xxx from an end user.

Appreciate the opinions guys, doubt I'll sell for £xxx, so I guess it's the waiting game, I've got 11 months before the wedding bills will need paying, may have caught a few others by then.
