I am looking into buying some bulk keyword .co.uk and .org.uk domains but I am still unsure which is the best way to go about this. 99% of the time I manage to get the domains to rank for their keywords and I am toying around with different types of commissions. I have tried EPN, ECU, Amazon Associates and yet to try Adsense. This was to satisfy my curiosity more than anything.

I currently have a couple of keyword domains with some Wordpress based mini-sites rather than using a holding page such as Sedo, off the top of my head for this month alone one mini-site got 400 visitors from Google, the other 500, some lower, some higher... but do people want to buy partially developed domains or simply just domains?

Thank you kindly
WW

They want the quickest route to gain there new product / service to market
and this offers a for more digestible business proposition for a end user

rather than having to buyer of a domain take the risk in developing and marketing while taking all the associated risk and time
you are offering a far more easier entry into that market
therefore offering greater value therefore commanding a far higher price and
return on investment

just my thoughts

Hi, thank you for the reply. It does make sense and maybe I'll start approaching some merchants when the domains have aged a little, which means more trial and error to see which approach works the best. (I may save that for another thread on another day). After all, most of them pay adwords average 20-40p per click at 500 uniques per month from the UK, £100-£200 (minus VAT) worth of clicks per month.

I am also a bit unsure if to use shared hosting or not for developing mini-sites?

Or is it a better idea to spread them out? I'm not really bothered about the hosting fees, £5 per month is nothing to be grumbled at for hosting 10-15 sites, I would be happier though keeping everything simple and not managing multiple accounts. Again, I could upgrade to a dedicated, but the fact that hosting all of these sites on the same IP address has me nervous.

Thanks again :)

Why dont u get vps hosting and order extra ip adresses? Saves you the hassle of having different hosting accounts plus that with shared hosting u will be sharing with hundreds of other websites
