on pcom.co.uk

Caught a few weeks ago...c/o dropcatcher

OK, it's not a word, but all the other com.co.uk's eg acom, bcom, dcom etc have either, all been regged since the 90's or, picked up by some of our peers (IMO, jenkins, Blackburn etc etc) No offence, but these names do appear alot in the whois.

ecom & icom are the obvious 2 with extra value in this area but having said that it's not a qcom or a zcom or a ycom.

It get's 1-2 hits a day on sedo - so no value in traffic.

I'm just after people thoughts really?

Personal Computer??....can't see a great deal of value off the bat but it's a short name with the possability of development.

I'm thinking an end user - the abreviations are used for communications companys or commercial ventures.

eg wcom.co.uk - is Worldcom, and bizzarely it's just been renewed.

How many organisations do you think there are in the UK with a name starting with p & ending in communications? A fair few telecom companies, pr companies & internet companies, I bet. Communications is a hell of a world to have in a domain name, 14 characters before you even start with a prefix.

The fact the all the variations are gone, com is the reccognised abbreviation for communications and it's only 4 characters must mean it's worth more than say, £200?

I'll probably keep this one for myself, I'm convinced there's value in it - but I'm here to be shot down...so lets see

Best of luck with it....as with most domains...if you see some value in it then go with what your instinct tells you (Some of my best registrations have been border line 'should I, shouldn't I' regs)

:)

Shows how difficult it is to keep up - I thought worldcom had gone, or am I thinking of Enron?
