The importance of Google

Hi,

Just a quick post to illustrate just how important google is these days for driving traffic to your domains.

My biggest traffic domains are as follows:

kirstygallagher. co.uk
kirstygallacher. co.uk
kirstygallacher. com

When these drop out out of google, for whatever reason (algorithm update etc) I get circa 1,000 type in's per month. When they are listed in the top 10 for "kirsty gallacher" and "kirsty gallagher" I get four times the amount of traffic!

Anyone has any similar experiences with google or tips for getting good listings?

get some links using keyphrase in anchor text, make sure you get a variety of anchor text though or you will be screwed
