Got this email from Tesco Cars the other day, with advice on how to put your spare wheel on in the event of a puncture:
I didn't read it as it went into my spam box but got this email this morning:
LOL! I wonder if anyone did actually follow the instructions in full????
Unfortunately punctures are a common problem, here's our fast track guide to changing your wheel:
Find a safe place to stop on a level surface and pop your hazard lights on.
Find your jack and spanner, if you're unsure check your vehicle hand book.
Loosen all wheel nuts then raise the car on the jack.
Remove the wheel nuts and replace the wheel with the spare.
Lower the car to the ground then replace and tighten nuts.
It's as easy as that!

On Friday 9th March 2012 we sent you some tips about how to change your car wheel. However, there was an error in the final point regarding when the nuts should be fixed. Please ensure you review the tips below and accept our apologies for any inconvenience.
Find a safe place to stop on a level surface, apply the handbrake and pop your hazard lights on
Find your jack and spanner, if you're unsure check your vehicle hand book.
Loosen all wheel nuts then raise the car using a specified jacking point.
Remove the wheel nuts and replace the wheel with the spare. Refit the nuts and tighten with wheel spanner as much as possible before lowering the car to the ground.
Lower the car to the ground and ensure the nuts are fully tightened with the spanner when jack is removed.
If you propose to continue using the spare wheel on the road then ask your local tyre fitment centre to check that the wheel nuts are tightened to the correct torque as soon as possible.
LOL! I wonder if anyone did actually follow the instructions in full????
