A new feature being tested by Facebook highlights the need to keep an eye on who can get access to the information you share online.
The social networking site has now removed the tool called ‘Find Friends Nearby’ or ‘Friendshake’ which made use of the location signal available in many smartphones to allow users to make friends with people who were close by.
The feature was designed to make it easier to connect with those around you in the same office, bar or gym without having to manually search for each profile.
