Swine Flu in my office

Someone in my office has caught Swine Flu and has been sent home :|

Doesnt really make you think until it lands on your doorstep.

email yesterday that the spouse of someone in my office has it and he's been told to stay off work.

The Press Association: Swine flu cases up again


according to associated press 3,364 cases now confirmed. Its funny the amount of coverage there was on the first couple , now in only the last week almost 300 cases confirmed with not a lot of coverage.

i do wonder how they record this swine flu,when the first case was broadcast i was at the doc's with the little one and the doctor said he had a swine flu customer,problem is in my village is that most people work for airlines we are nextdoor to east midlands airport so it will more than likely it will hit here.

its no big deal - it just like having any other form of flu - get yourself some vecuronium and go to bed , totally overhyped.

The son of the woman that sits across the desk from me had swine flu, so she stayed away from work for a week just in case.

There's been a case in my son's nursery and my daughter's school.

At first, they were closing schools in the area whenever a case was found, but they've given up on that idea as it really wasn't containing the spread of the disease.

The only person to "die from swine flu" outside of the Americas, was in the hospital that my other half is due to give birth to our third kid in the next few weeks.

So you could say it's on my doorstep, but it has been overhyped. Many of the cases have been very mild forms of the disease and the only people that it particularly effects are those with other underlying medical conditions, especially respiratory problems.

We'll see what the winter brings!

yeah just like my 10 month old son who has cronic respitory problems,they fear that it will mutate later in the year then i will be petrified.
