It's a country, a .com and a very popular tourist destination etc... The term SouthernCyprus is rife within the international community and a popular term for tourists!!

I go to cyprus every year and i've used the words Southern Cyprus about once probably

Northern and southern cyprus are separate countries now!! Cyprus is split into the northern and southern sides like korea

I'll buy any country or capital city for a fair price or even tourist destinations, algarve, balearics, greek islands etc etc

Nobody refers to southern cyprus as southern cyprus, not even the Turks, if anyone you should know that you should.

The thing you have to remember here is that you are talking to a bunch of domain resellers, even if this was a domain worth £25k to anyone (Which it's not), let's say for example you had cyprus.com, now for this name it is possible that it is worth £25k to an *END USER*, not a *DOMAIN RESELLER* (Unless it has high PPC potential).

Domain resellers buy at a lot less than end user prices as they are keeping the domain to market to certain end users for a higher price, or to sit on and wait for an offer on Sedo etc.

You cannot expect to come onto this or any forum full of domain resellers and expect to command such a high price, we see 3char (LLL.co.uk's) going for 3 figure sums here (Which will sell all day and are easy to target end users with), you come on here and ask a 5 figure sum for something that quite frankly isn't as worth much as a domain I sold on here earlier today for a few £'s

You need to decide who you want to target, as you will never sell anything asking very high end user prices to domain resellers.

If you want the big sales, you need to try and market the domain to potential end users, then you can demand the higher prices (But you have to be prepared to put a lot of hard work in).

This forum is full of experienced domainers, end users frequent places like Sedo...whilst it may happen people come here to find a domain for a website project they have in mind they are more likely to be people looking for a domain to cover a certain niche (Who are also familar with the domain industry and generate sites to sell or for Adsense revenue).

The prices you are asking, it seems you are expecting the Cyprian government to come on here and post "Sold".

This is the last time I offer advice to you Lex, I really am trying to help you understand the domain market better.

Best thing to do is to signup on a US Domain forum, this forum really is UK specific, although it covers .com and other extensions you would get a better idea of value from a place like dnforum.com , signup there and get reading, get looking at the other resellers and prices they are asking for domains. They also have a domain valuation section, ask for a valuation on the domain price for end users and for resellers.

Don't be suprised if you get a lot of "Reg Fee" answers, the forum can be quite harsh at times.

In my opinion you would be lucky to get $/£xxx

It's all about timing, finding someone looking for a domain on this subject...don't expect to register a domain and have people knocking your door down to buy it, if you are looking for a quick sale be prepared to knock your prices down.
