Been working on this for a couple of weeks now, Would be good to get some feedback on usability, design and some other views on how it could be made better?
Thanks in advance ;)

There's no instant, obvious "This is what we do. This is what we sell" type message. It needs to be very short, clear and to the point. Right now, visitors to the site have to really be in "research" mode to get what it's on about, as there's no clue in the domain and no clue in the first section of the front page. Looks nice enough, though, and the issue I highlighted should hopefully be an easy fix. Good luck with it.

Thanks Edwin
The big white space in the header is actually reserved for site tagline, When we think of one...
Any ideas? ;)

Is it just PPE and equipment for tree surgeons or is it wider than that? I think it needs more than a tagline, maybe a short paragraph, 2 or 3 sentences. With a strong call to action at the end.

I thought some sort of play on the height you work at, like high up maintence equipment at low down prices, or something along those lines (only been awake 10 mins can't do any better than that :p)

The site looks nice though, well done.

"Our products may go up trees, but our prices are firmly grounded."

Hi.

A few minor things.

1. The prices on the pages 'whats new' and 'specials' are not center aligned to the product boxes, to fix this remove width:100% form the div ul#product_list li div.right_block or set width to width:auto;
The 'Add to cart' and 'view button create the width for the container so this width is not needed.

2.The product boxes could do with a little whitespace between them, it's not easy on the eye to view the products.

3. In the subcatagory boxes on the top of some of the pages the text is flowing out of the boxes (http://www.northernarbsupplies.co.uk/190-karabiners) this is because a set height has been put on the boxes.
To fix this remove the height from body#category #subcategories li and I would increase the height on .greybox-cats li to 60px to compensate for longer titles.

4. IMO the green hover state on the navigation doesn't look very nice, nor the red hover state on the dropdown navigation, but thats aethsetics.

Other than these small points I think the site looks great and very comprehensive.

Good luck with it.
