The idea is to implement a verification workflow consisting of two main components:
- Backend: A script or API handler to automate the domain validation process.
- Frontend: A section in user profiles to display the Nominet member badge once verification is complete.
Potential Workflow:
- Parse the Acorn Domains user's email address (e.g., [email protected]).
- Cross-check the parsed domain against Nominet's registrar database to determine if it belongs to a Nominet member.
- Once a match is confirmed, flag the user's account in our system and display the Nominet Member Badge on their profile.
- Regularly update the badge status to ensure it reflects the most current data.
