Don't touch wiv a bargepole
ever hear of Trade Mark?

Yes but if you are a credit card company i'd of thought you could call your card goldvisa.co.uk etc??

i.e. they weren't puchased for the intent of selling to visa or mastercard.

Visa, that well known credit card company, would hammer anyone attempting to use these domains for such similar financial services. Who would want buy them to then suffer that kind of legal assault? It is gross infringement of their IP rights. Such a large company might even set out their legal strategy to maximise publicity by bleeding the infringer dry as a warning to others.

I don't think it is even sensible to link your name to the registrations on the database. Nothing good will come of it. Be smart.

You might get away with the above ones, the word visa isn't strictly connected to debit cards. So a visa desk or info company may well be interested.

I think you're pushing it with mastercard though. But as simple.co.uk went for £18,000 today and some others claim trademark was held by buyer, anything seems possible.
