I have been buying and selling some traffic names recently.

I just wondered how many month Rev people sell their names for (on average) if you gauge the price that way.

The average on .co.uk seems to be 18 months revenue, but you hear rumours of people paying much more.

Cheers

Too many factors to give a quick answer.

Things to consider:

Is traffic type-in?
Is the traffic Link based?
What country is most of the traffic from?
Are there any TM issues?
How well does the traffic convert?
Does that name have any keyword value (can it be developed)?
Is the domain Adult related?
What subject is the domain?

Even things like Seasonal traffic have to be considered.

I've seen domains sell for over 7 years revenue, and at the same time domains selling for less than 6 months.

Thanks for the reply J2.

Would be nice to meet somsone who pays 7 years rev ;)

(for anyone else posting i am working on the assumption the domain name is not an adult name or a TM(

Cheers

If anyone is interested in selling names at up to 18 months revenue then please let me know - I would be very interested. Happy to consider anything with a uk extension.

Thanks
Stephen.

If you made comparisons to stock market investors, I think they would be prepared to pay more than this. If you were told you have a potential for an investment where it will pay for itself in 18 months, and the rest will pretty much be pure profit, you'd jump at the chance wouldn't you?

I personally can't see anything eroding the value of a good .co.uk at the moment, so 36+ months revenue would seem reasonable to me.

If anyone is interested in selling generic .co.uk's (Stricly no TMs/typos) at up to 5 years revenue then please let me know - I would be very interested. Large budget ready to spend.

Stricly no TMs/typos - generic .co.uk's ONLY.

regards
Martin

I too would like to express my interest in good generic .co.uk domains with traffic. Feel free to PM me...

Cheers,
Tom

If they're pure commercial generics (no TM/typo/branding), PM me too, or better yet email me at infoATgenkiproductions.com - thanks!
