Hi all,

Can someone advise me how to get my Sedo parking to work properly, it's doing my head in :???:

I registered a new account, pasted in 21 domain names, got to the end of the parking process and all was ok, it had the domain names in red text waiting for them to be verified, I set the name servers for all of them to Sedo's nameservers, and a short time after the red names vanished and were listed on the page, except they all have a red ! next to them, all except rideonmower.org.uk which has a green tick next to it and is online and working.

I have been through the optimisation part, all have keywords set, all have a photo set, all have a template set, on the "domain management" page, if I hover my cursor over the green tick, it says, "domain is listed correctly", but over the red exclamation mark against all the others, it says, "This domain is not for sale and is not parked. Please check your settings".

What setting are they talking about, I can't see anywhere on the menu where it says settings, how do I change the setting to get them parked? I can't work out why one is working and the other 20 aren't, they are all set up the same and at the same time.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

when you type-in the names on the browser do you see a proper sedo page displayind ads (Do not click on ads!). If so that means those names have not get any click yet that is why they are red. When they git hit they will turn green unless otherwise you have done something wrong while setting nameservers etc.

Hi Turnic, no, when going to a one of the other domains, such as vwcampervan.org.uk, it' says the domain has not been entered in to the sedo database:

Sedo Domain Parking
This domain has not been entered into the Sedo database by the domain owner and therefore cannot take part in Sedo's parking programme

I don't see how it can't have been entered, as they were all done at the same time and are listed in the sedo control panel, all the nameservers are correct as well.

Hi Admin, our posts crossed, a red tick domain is in this post.

Do all the marked domains have trademarks in them?

Grant

@ Grant, no mate, no trademarks in the marked domains.

[edit]

When I go to "Domain Parking", only the rideonmower domain is listed, when I got to optimistation, they are all there and set up.

I just did a Who-Is lookup to make sure, and all are listed with the Sedo parking nameservers, something in the domain lookups I did spot was this:

Registration status:
Registration request being processed.

Would that have any bearing on matters (12 registered today, the rest 2 days ago)? Although, the one site that is showing online also has that being processed text, so why would that one work and the others not.

Anyway, I have decided to delete all the non working domains from Sedo, then add them back in one at a time and see if that makes a difference.

[edit]

I have deleted the non working domains and added one back in so far, again, that has the red exclamation mark next to it straight away, why is Sedo such a pain to operate, I mean, it tells you to check your setting, yeah, which blood setting, they neglect to point that out or give a link to where you do it

[edit]

Hmmm, I clicked the red exclamation mark, then clicked the url in the box that opened, then went to optimisation and set the keywork, photo and template, now the site works, but still has the red exclamation mark next to it.

I'll try all the others again now and see what occurs.

[another edit]

All uploaded again and all now showing the proper parked pages online, still all bar one have got that exclamation mark, though

Turnic is exactly right. The names are parked but since they haven't received any views/clicks the system does not recognize them as parked yet.

omg first time I heard someone had a problem with parking on Sedo's most simple parking system..... Anyway hope you got it all sorted Systreg ;)

@ Takwa, using the easy system on Sedo wasn't the problem, I had no problem getting the domains on there, I was just a bit confused by the red exclamation marks next to the domain names, and it telling me to adjust the settings, but not telling me where to do so, I still can't find anywhere that is called setting, apart from the optimisation part, but I had already set up the domains using that, and the exclamation marks were still there, so it can't be those settings that needed adjusting.

The latest is, of 20 domains listed, 16 now have green ticks, just 4 with the exclamation marks remain, I have visited each site (no ads clicked!), so not sure why they still remain, because the replies on the previous pages indicate they only stay there until the page gets a visit, not a problem though, pretty much sorted now, thanks for all the advice.
