I posted previously that my script no longer works since the epp schemas changed and wondered how to resolve (.net)
I've worked out that the epp schema bit is in a compiled dll of which I don't have the source code only the actual dll.
Any ideas if possible to extract the contents at all? would it be ssl or ssh?

thanks

I've had to de-compile a couple of dlls before - ping it across and I'll take a look..

If you wanted to have a go yourself - drop me a PM and I'll tell you (high level) how to do it.

decompiling dll's seems a bit of overkill. Reverse engineering executable code is not something that is generally encouraged outside the geek world :)

It also begs the question, if you have the rights to the code to make these changes why don't you have the source?

No offence taken...:D

I've had to do work on programs before when the developer has gone bust / AWOL - even though I'd paid for support... very frustrating.

A friend wrote the code and supposedly gave me all the source code but turns out he never gave me the dll sources and can no longer find it. He doen't have time to rewrite and couldnt even remember if it was ssl or ssh.

I tried reflector but it didn't show me everything.

Not of course suggesting there was any non-legit access to the code :)

The live EPP uses SSL, not SSH, if you are not able to register, the problem is probably the schema changes, depending on how the code is written, it will either create the XML line by line or drop values into a template. I'm guessing if you can't see a clear chunk of XML then the XML object is being created line by line.

I'm sure a baseball bat will help your friend find the source code :)
