Hello People,

I am an inexperienced domain seller and bought these two a while back (scrapgoldprices.net + scrapgoldprice.net).

I presume, that they are virtually worthless, however before letting them lapse next year, was interested if for example it was worth trying to sell them for £25 or something, if in fact, they are even worth that much.

Thank you.

Philip.

bit of a buzz around this market now with gold at such a premium, not the best extension but worth more than £25!!

I would consider putting them on Sedo, and then say on forums you are looking for an offer of £100 to start an auction. (Once you get that first offer you can put the domain into auction). I think there's a good chance of you getting that first offer. If you don't, drop the price to £75 and try for that first offer to go to auction.

I agree with deliajen, scrap gold is "hot" at the moment so you should get some interest.

Thank You Both For The Advice

Thank you both for the advice and they are currently listed on Sedo with a minimum offer of £100 each.

I would suggest promoting them around the various domain forums then ... let us know how it goes.

No takers that I am aware of even after reducing to £75, linking to Sedo - I put on several forums - what do you think that a "Bin" price that would attract buyers, for example "£125 for both", with buyer paying transfer fees? :)

I am thinking around £40 each to tempt the buyers. If these are your first sales then there's something to be said for an aggressive pricing strategy and reinvesting the profits.
