Just over 3 days to go on this auction ... I should perhaps say that in the past it has been the fourth most expensive place to buy property in the world, that may not be the case at the moment with the current property market. Probably a good time to be obtaining the domain and developing ready for the next property boom!

nope, still silly prices down here, personally cant see the facination with the place, its only the houses on the outside of the island that are the real money spinners

Not so long Pierce Morgan did a programme about it, after which I bought the name. One of the estate agents down there did a really good job of marketing the place, saying it was the fourth most expensive place in the world. This started attracting the rich and famous to the area, and I know that a number of high profile celebs bought property there. I'm sure the estate agent did very well out of it as he drove a very nice Bentley.

There is also the Sandbanks Hotel there for any travel affiliates.

correction - the estate agent has done very very well, seems to have total control on the more exclusive properties

hotel just aint quite up to the image of the overall area. not the best place in town for sure.

Pretty sure I stayed at this hotel once. Was put up by a company for a job, woke up in the morning and opened the back door of the room and stepped onto the beach - I was only in this area for a short amount of time but the weather was great, there were some amazing houses and the beach was really nice.

The place really had an impact on me I guess.
