Hi,

Just sold via Sedo:

rmb .co.uk for £4,000 GBP

Cheers.

oh my god it's too cheap!!!!! DO you guys know what RMB stands for???

No one calls it renminbi, well other than Mel Gibson in Legal Weapon 3425, they don't even call it Yuan, they always call it Yen or Yenn.

Another LLL went for similar money and almost similar letters to one of the people I do business with too off Vital Domains.

£4-5k end user for this type of letter does seem about right currently going by my data.

Depends if the £4k has sedo / vat taken out or is on top.

Either way its not shabby.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RMB_(disambiguation) says a few things, I guess you mean chinese money?

Never sure on overseas meanings in .uk .

The other question as always, if too cheap, why not buy yourself ;)

Well I was not on the look out, even if I was raising £4,000 to by it at my current state and time would be pretty difficult...

All the Chinese population in UK calls it RMB

Not if you're in the currency exchange business or the Bank of China in Chinatown!!!

Hi everyone,

thanks for your comments!

This sale has already completed with payment already received from Sedo.

I've sold another couple of domains this week but just waiting for payment before I post them here.

Cheers!

Takwa, I have 4 drop shippers in china/hong kong/etc and they only ever type NN rmb when giving a price like,

ma xing tang 45rmb
qing zhisan 95rmb

Stuff like that, when talking to them they cash, money etc, would be like us using GBP.

The buyer on the whois rings a bell on a few other LLL names so makes sense in a way.

RMB.co.uk / GBP.co.uk / USD.co.uk etc , nice combos with a meaning, but just dont do it for me.

I looked at the exchange thing when I bought ExchangeSquare.co.uk its a fooker of a market.

I was happy with the price, it was more than I paid for it and I intend to use the funds to purchase more 'stock'. A profit is a profit and I don't think I 'gave' it away by any means.

I don't usually haggle too much with my domains however this one was haggled up quite far as I rather liked the domain (for no obvious reason!), must admin, I had no idea of the currency link.

Anyhow, i'm more than happy with the £4k which I thought was a pretty good price - thanks for your comments guys!

Being the previous owner I know what a decent profit you made on it. Nice sale Colin, congrats.

Time for a large vodka

Grant, Tale solice in the guy who thought he made a deal on £500 for wet only to see it go for 2000% more :p, thats whole bottle of greygoose, not 50ml :p

Indeed, I can beat that though with the pokeronline.co.uk domain that I sold for £199 which then sold for £28k - that was a bottle of blue label Smirnoff day.

Grant

No Grant thats time to get the Louis XIII (I will own one one day, oh yes) out and put some ice and rola cola in there.

Grant, you were on the Smirnoff when you sold it for £199? Or t'other way round?

LOL, it was years ago and I was sober. It was on Ebay - the opening and only bid was £199, I plugged the auction on here (or maybe it was the old detagged forum) and noone was bothered!
